Arthur A. Duprey (Mookie), 82, of Blackstone, died August 13, 2016, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Barbara (Wickstrom) Duprey. Born in Blackstone, he was the son of the late Arthur A. Duprey and Alice (Haines) Duprey-Fox.
He worked as a machinist for seventeen years for Dennison Manufacturing, Framingham, MA, retiring in 1995. He graduated from Blackstone High School in 1953. He lived in Millville for 44 years before moving back to Blackstone in 1999. He spent his winters in Osteen, FL. He was a member of the Chestnut Street Meeting House Historical Society, the Millville Senior Center and the All-American Golf League. He was a communicant and choir member of St. Augustines Church.
On July 30th, Barbara and Arthur celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary.
Besides his wife Barbara, Arthur is survived by his son, David Duprey and his spouse Kathy of Woonsocket, two daughters, Cheryl Duprey and her spouse Lori Palagi of Cumberland, and Elizabeth (Duprey) Carter and her spouse Michael of Millville, three grandchildren, Maghean, Alexandra, and Joshua, and two sisters, Doris Chaput of North Smithfield, and Dorothy Cote of Ocala, FL. He was predeceased by his step-father Thomas Fox.
His funeral will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 10 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Augustine Church, 17 Lincoln St., Millville. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Friday from 5-8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine Church, 17 Lincoln Street, Millville, MA 01529, Chestnut Street Meeting House and Cemetery Association, c/o Treasurer, P.O.
