Barbara E. (flynn) Salome

NORTH SMITHFIELD - Barbara E. (Flynn) Salome, 92 years old, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2016, with her family by her side at St. Antoine's Residence. Formerly of Millville and Hyannis, MA, she was the wife of the late Charles J. Salome, Sr. who passed away in 1996.Born in Millville, MA on May 14, 1924, the daughter of the late Deputy Sheriff J. Harry Flynn and Charlotte (Clark) Flynn. She was a graduate of Blackstone High School and Becker Junior College. Mrs. Salome was a homemaker most of her life and formerly worked for the Bellingham and Barnstable, MA Public School Departments.She is survived by five daughters: Jane M. Pouliot of Blackstone, MA; Barbara E. Salome of Putnam, CT; Deborah A. Kelley and her husband Gary of Kirby, VT; Tina L. Maloney of Falmouth, MA; and Dr. Melanie Salome of Las Cruces, NM. She is also survived by three sons: Charles J. Salome Jr. of Millville, MA; William A. Salome and wife Linda of Blackstone, MA; and Timothy J. Salome and wife Charlene of North Smithfield, RI. She was also the mother of the late Jeffrey G. Salome. She also leaves 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.Her funeral will be held Saturday, May 28, 2016, beginning with visitation at 9 AM in Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket, followed by a service at 10 AM in Saint Paul's Church, 48 Saint Paul St., Blackstone, MA. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Friday from 4-7 PM.
