Cecile L. Adams

Cecile L. (Vachon) Adams, 96, of Clearwater Florida, passed Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Suncoast Hospice in Palm Harbor, Florida. She was the wife of the late Edwin C. Adams. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Eva (Fisette) Vachon.

She worked as an assistant engineer for American Phillips Company for many years, before retiring to Florida in 1986. She was a former resident of North Smithfield.

She was a member of the Rhode Island Club of Florida. Cecile enjoyed knitting, bingo and was an avid Tampa Bay Rays fan. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, David E. Adams of Los Angeles; CA; daughters, Sandra Mathieu of Clearwater, FL and Audrey Adams of Bristol, RI; sister, Rhea Butera of Woonsocket, RI; one grandchild and four great-grandchildren.

Her graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 11 AM in Union Cemetery, Smithfield Rd., North Smithfield. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to
