Denis F. “Bo” Piedmonte, Jr., 87, of Priscilla Rd., died May 17, 2017 at home.  He was the husband of Rita (Piche) Piedmonte whom he married May 16, 1959.  Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Denis F., Sr. and Josephine (Motte) Piedmonte.

An Army Veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Piedmonte worked twenty-nine years as a Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, Woonsocket.  He was a lifetime member of the D.A.V. and the Woonsocket Sportsman Club, as well as, a member of the Model A Ford Club of America.  Bo was a car enthusiast, especially antique cars, who enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and vacations to New Hampshire for the past twenty-five years. Bo loved spending time with his family and friends.      

Besides his wife Rita, he is survived by their three children, Mike Piedmonte and his wife Anne of Woonsocket, Mark Piedmonte and his wife Connie of Waldorf, MD and Matthew Piedmonte and his wife Cheryl of Blackstone, MA; a sister, Anne Pomfret of Greene, RI; five grandchildren, Michael, Meghan, Mariah, Marissa and Hannah and two great grandsons, Jax and Colin.  He was the brother of the late Mary Luttrell.

His funeral will be held Monday, May 22, 2017 at 9:30 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket.  Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm St. Blackstone, MA.  Calling hours are Sunday from 4 - 7 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bo’s memory to the D.A.V. online at www.give.dav.org
