Dennis M. Flinton

Dennis M. Flinton, 72, of North Smithfield, died Sunday, August 14, 2016 at home peacefully surrounded by his family. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Arthur T. and Phyllis (Daley) Flinton.

An Air Force Veteran, Dennis worked for the Massachusetts Department of Corrections. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, was a Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed going to car shows. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Dennis is survived by four children, Scott Flinton and his wife Deborah Flinton of Pawtucket, Dennis Flinton of Ft. Myers FL, Kristine Lorange and her husband Richard Ledoux of Woonsocket, and Michael Flinton and his wife Jennifer Flinton of North Smithfield, one sister, Sandra Tailon of North Attleboro, as well as eight Grandsons, six Granddaughters and 6 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Thomas Flinton, his brother Arthur Flinton, and two sisters, Jacqueline Fox and Karen Trowbridge.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at PO Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241.
