Edward J. Marchwicki, 96, of Oak Hill Ave. North Smithfield, died September 3, 2017. He was the husband of 63 years to the beloved Sophie M. (Cybulski) Marchwicki. Born in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Victoria (Babiarz) Marchwicki.
Ed was a controller for Watt Distribution, Lincoln, for 52 years and co-owner of Terminal Delivery, Lincoln. He served in the US Army as a Technical Sergeant during WWII and was stationed in Alaska.
He leaves two sons, Edward J. Marchwicki, Jr. and his wife Brenda of Pawtucket and John M. Marchwicki and his wife Kimof Boerne, TX; and granddaughters, Melissa Burdon of North Providence and Jessica Burdon of San Antonio, TX. Besides his wife Sophie, Ed was predeceased by two sisters, Eleanor Marchwicki and Helen Alexander.
Private funeral arrangements were held under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. The family respectfully requests no flowers.
