Eugene A. Delaurier

Eugene A. Delaurier, 83, of Smith Hill Rd., Harrisville, died January 9, 2018 at home following a long illness. He was the husband of Claire (Michaud) Delaurier. Born in Mapleville, he was the son of the late Jonas and Catherine (Monahan) Delaurier.

Mr. Delaurier worked for GAF in Millis, MA until his retirement in 1992.

Besides his wife, he leaves his grandson Joe Darling whom he raised as his son and his wife Lizanna; a granddaughter Dawn Limberg whom he raised as his daughter and her husband Rich; three step-sons, Albert Darling, Mark Darling and his wife Michelle, and Rick Darling, all of Woonsocket; two step-daughters, Donna Darling, and Rose Gauvin and her husband Dean; as well as many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was the brother of the late Leo Delaurier, Lorraine Delaurier, Lucille Sherman, Florence Lavigne, Theresa Binette, and Doris Kiley.

His funeral will be held Tuesday January 16, 2018 beginning with visitation at 9:30 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, followed by a service at 11 AM. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Charles Cemetery on Farm St., Blackstone.
