Frederick Schaier Obituary

Frederick Donald Schaier, 58, of Mapleville, passed with peace on March 20, 2017 with his family by his side. Predeceased by his beloved wife Deborah (Miller) Schaier in 2013, and his father Donald Frederick Schaier in 1972.

Survived by his loving mother Sylvia (Beck) Peckham and his father George Peckham II of Woonsocket, along with his six siblings, Donna Turner of Harrisville, Joseph Schaier of Woonsocket, Richard Schaier and his wife Marilyn of Inverness, FL, Edward Schaier and his wife Pauline of Mapleville, Karen Schaier of Woonsocket, and George Peckham III and his wife Stacey of Woonsocket. He was predeceased by his sister Wanda Schaier. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who he loved very much.

He was born in Norwood, MA in 1958. He worked as a machine mechanic for Seville Dye Company for over twenty years and was maintenance supervisor for Eastern Color Chemical Co. for ten years before his retirement.

Fred, also known by his loving friends as Tugboat, loved to go fishing, sitting on his deck enjoying the outdoors, watching the Patriots and the Red Sox, and his dogs. He loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. Fred will be missed by many.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, RI, 02895.
