Jeannette A. (Lambert) LeBlanc, 83, died peacefully at Rhode Island Hospital, Sunday, August 20, 2017. She was the widow of William J. LeBlanc who died in 2014. Jeannette was the daughter of Romeo and Arthurette (Payeur) Lambert.
She worked for several years for the Sports Systems, Inc., Woonsocket: as a seamstress. Before that she worked in the office of Coby Glass in Woonsocket. As a member of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, she had worked as a receptionist and clerk at Saint Jean Baptiste rectory in Lowell, Massachusetts for five years.
Jeannette was an auxiliary of the Old Time Fiddlers of Rhode Island organization along with her husband, and continued as a member after he died.
She is survived by her two sons, Jean-Arthur (Jeno) LeBlanc, of Woonsocket and Leonard M. LeBlanc of Plainfield, CT, and their wives,Dianne and Christine. She leaves seven grandchildren, Ashley, Anna and Christopher LeBlanc, Kiersten Goodling of Taftville, Connecticut, and Ian, Kavan and Alyssa LeBlanc of Plainfield, Connecticut. She is also survived by her brother Eugene Lambert of Largo, Florida and her sisters Trudy Lamoureux of Woonsocket and Rita Hemond of Conover, North Carolina. She was the sister of the late Daniel Lambert, and the late Emile Lambert.
A funeral service for Jeannette will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 10 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Bellingham, MA. Calling hours are Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd. #3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
