John Parenteau Obituary

John R. Parenteau, 59, of Blackstone, died March 11, 2017 in Landmark Medical Center. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of Raymond M. Parenteau of Woonsocket and Muriel A. (Tellier) Parenteau of Uxbridge.

He worked as a Contractor for Blackstone Valley Home Improvement. John was a poet, a member of the Woonsocket Library writing group and was well known in the AA community.

Besides his parents, John is survived by his three daughters, Nichole and Danielle Parenteau, both of Blackstone, and Chevon Parenteau of Woonsocket; two sisters, Jeanne Papski of North Smithfield, and Lorraine Roy of Blackstone; two brothers, Mark Parenteau of Blackstone, and James Parenteau of Millville; as well as six grandsons, Derek, Tyler, Jack, Quin, Colin, and Leo, and his first granddaughter, Jade May. He was the brother of the late Michael Parenteau.

His funeral will be held Monday, March 20, 2017 with a service at 10:30 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket RI with burial to follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 314 Wrentham Rd., Bellingham, MA. Calling hours are Sunday from 2- 5 PM.
