Joyce Bergeron Obituary

Joyce A. (Burns) Bergeron, 72, of Millville, departed this world for her heavenly home on Monday, June 27, 2016, in the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the wife of Albert F. Bergeron, whom she married September 7, 1964. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of Grace V. (Hood) Burns, of Millville, and the late Perry W. Burns.

Joyce was a homemaker who enjoyed bowling, playing cards, reading her Bible, watching figure skating and the Red Sox play on TV. She was a member of the Blackstone Valley Christian Womens Club, and the Blackstone Valley United Methodist Church, Whitinsville.

Besides her husband and mother, Joyce is survived by four sons, Kevin Bergeron and his wife Judy of Millville, Kenneth Bergeron of Millville, Albert Bergeron, Jr. and his wife Kim of Douglas, and Keith Bergeron and his wife Roberta of Pascoag, three daughters, Sue Dionne, Sheryl Hemenway and her husband Dennis, Sharon Fitzgerald and her husband Royce of Uxbridge, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a brother Robert Burns and his wife Janet of Millville, and two sisters, Carol Place and her husband Stephen of Lakeville, and Jane Pawlowski and her husband Richard of Webster, and nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Friday, July 1 2016, at 10:00 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 S. Main St, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Smithfield Rd, North Smithfield. Calling hours will be held Thursday, June 30, 2016, from 5-8 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Blackstone Valley United Methodist Church, 61 Linwood Ave., Whitinsville, MA 01588.
