Lucie Peloquin Obituary

Lucie R. (Marcotte) Peloquin, 75, of North Smithfield, died May 2, 2017 in Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of Normand F. Peloquin whom she married April 8, 1961. Born in Lincoln, she was the daughter of Rita M. (Archambault) Marcotte of North Smithfield and the late Adolphe Alphee Marcotte.

Mrs. Peloquin worked as a receptionist for Dr. Dennis Dr. Timothy Hart. Lucie lived her life to the fullest and with great love. Everyones cheerleader, she spread kindness, wisdom and inspiration to all as she loved unconditionally. The world has been a better place because of her presence in it. Lucie has affected so many, so deeply.

Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by her two daughters, Denise Allard, and her husband David, of Smithfield, and Celeste Chretien, and her husband Marcel, of Harrisville; two sisters, Simone Moore and her husband John of North Smithfield, and Dee Marcotte of Smithfield; and two granddaughters, Ashley Allard-Lacroix and Dana Chretien. She was predeceased by her sister, Rita Papa.

Her funeral will be held Friday, May 5, 2017 at 10 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church St., Slatersville. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 -7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Haven of Grace, 53 Coe St., Woonsocket, RI 02895.
