Mary "Marge" Labonte

Mary Marge (Sherman) Labonte, 81, of Woonsocket, died September 13, 2016, in Oakland Grove Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Raymond Labonte. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Edward John and Madeline (Owens) Sherman.

She was the co-owner of the former Country Cleaners in Cumberland from 1965-1978. Marge was also a member of the Kennedy Manor Social Club.

She is survived by two sons, Edward Labonte of Pierson, FL; Scott Labonte and his wife Judith F. of Cumberland; two daughters, Judith A. Labonte of Woonsocket; Jo-Ann Labonte and her partner Charles Olson of Woonsocket; sister, Madeline Sherman of Cumberland; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Labonte, three brothers, Edward, John and Joseph Sherman and sister, Carol Cote.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at 10 AM in Saint Charles Church, 190 North Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm Street, Blackstone, MA. Calling hours will be held Monday, from 5-7 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kennedy Manor Social Club, 547 Clinton St. Apt 802, Woonsocket, RI, 02895.
