Paul O Vanasse

Paul O. Vanasse, 93, of School Street, died August 15, 2016 at home. He was the husband of the late Lucille T. (Armstrong) Vanasse. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Joseph and Stephanie (Guiot) Vanasse.

A United States Army veteran, he worked for sixty-five years as a painter and later for twelve years as a shop superintendent for Artesani Brothers Builders of Cranston before retiring in 1985. Paul was a member of the DAV - Woonsocket Chapter.

He is survived by his daughter, Celeste LeVasseur of Slatersville; three grandchildren, Becky Aucoin, Jennifer Phillips, and Stephanie Lancellotti; eight great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. He was predeceased by his son Paul R. Vanasse; his brother Gilles Vanasse; his two sisters, Jacqueline Mercure, and Madeleine Vanasse; and his granddaughter Michele Durand.

Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket.
