Pauline R. Pepin

Pauline R. (Brodeur) Pepin, 91, of Woonsocket, passed away peacefully in her home on November 30, 2016. She was the wife of Maurice O. Pepin who she married on April 7, 1951. Born on April 22, 1925 in St. Eugene, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Clotilde (Poirier) Brodeur.

Pauline perfected the art of homemaking by providing a warm, loving home for her husband and family. She was a great cook and skilled seamstress, who loved to play board and card games with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, making puzzles, watching television, particularly the Red Sox, and traveling. Pauline had an incredible wit and lively spirit, and was adored by all who knew her. She had a strong faith and was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church. She loved dancing and music, and previously sang in the St. Josephs Church choir.

Pauline is survived by her husband, Maurice O., and their children, Maurice J. Pepin of Woonsocket, Robert L. Pepin of Warwick, Jeanne L. Bonin and her husband Gary of Woonsocket; two sisters, Constance Nault of Blackstone, MA, and Helene Normandin of Woonsocket; her grandchildren, Daniel, Marc, and Timothy Pepin, Angela Desaulniers, and Emily Bonin; and her great-grandchildren Nadine, Ethan, Juliet, Madeleine, and Oliver Pepin. She was preceded in death by her three brothers, John, Gerard, and Leonard Brodeur, and her three sisters, Cecile Bernard, Madeleine Laramee, and Rita Brunelle.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, December 8, 2016, beginning with calling hours at 8:30 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Avenue, Woonsocket. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904. During her last few weeks, this organization provided much advice and comfort to Pauline and her family.
