Stephen F. Hopkins, 69, of Warwick Avenue, passed at home August 24, 2016. He was the husband of the late Karen E. (Martin) Hopkins. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Richard and Betty (Lapham) Hopkins.
He worked as a machinist for Cleveland Twist Drill, of Cranston before retiring in 1993. A member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, Cranston, Stephen loved gardening and the sciences.
He is survived by two sons, John Hopkins of Woonsocket, and Paul Hopkins of Warwick; two daughters, Amy Hopkins of Natick, MA, and Debra Hopkins of Warwick; his brother, David Hopkins of North Smithfield; his sister, Gail Bois of Woonsocket; as well as four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
His funeral will be held Monday, August 29, 2016 at 10 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Smithfield Rd., North Smithfield. Calling hours are Sunday from 4 - 7 PM.
