Therese M. (Patenaude) Hogue, 87, of Woonsocket, died July 17, 2016 at home. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Hogue, whom she married on July 2, 1949. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Jean-Baptiste E. and Marie-Anne (Berube) Patenaude.
Therese worked as a Medical Records Secretary for Landmark Medical Center, retiring in 1986, and previously worked as a cashier for Stop Shop. She was very artistic and enjoyed painting, crocheting, playing the piano, floral design, and playing Scrabble or Words with Friends. She loved her dog, Ginger.
She is survived by her son, Donald Hogue and his wife Paula of Woonsocket, two daughters, Joyce Bandilla of Woonsocket, and Carol Stearns and her husband Michael of Glendale, six grandchildren, Todd Richards, Heather Bonshire, Chad and Cory Berthiaume, Amy and Adam Hogue, three great-grandchildren, Liam, Jack, and Isla Berthiaume, two nieces, Sr. Vivian Patenaude, RJM of Warwick, and Patricia Patenaude of CA, and two nephews, Robert Patenaude of Lincoln, and Richard Patenaude of CA. She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Armand, Jean-Baptiste Eugene, and Emile Pat Patenaude.
Her funeral will be held Friday, July 22, 2016, beginning with visitation at 8:30 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 S. Main St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Agathas Church, 34 Joffre Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 314 Wrentham Rd., Bellingham, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
