William A. Carpenter

William A. Carpenter, 89, of Woonsocket, died June 16, 2017 in Bayberry Commons, Pascoag. He was the husband of the late Jean T. (Smith) Yarbough Carpenter. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Sam and Victoria (Makowski) Carpenter.

Bill Carpenter worked twenty-four years as a Maintenance Carpenter for Miller Electric Woonsocket, retiring in 1990 and was a part-time bartender for the Shamrock Caf, Woonsocket for several years. He was formerly a member of the Kennedy Manor Social Club.

He is survived by his stepdaughter, Sheila J. Yarbough of Harrisville, RI. He was the brother of the late Albert and Joseph Carpenter.

Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.
