Denise L. Michaud

Denise L. (Desplaines) Michaud, 68, of Cumberland, died June 8, 2022 in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Jeannette (Rouette) Desplaines.

Denise worked as a CNA for Woonsocket Health Center. She had a very outgoing personality, was an avid reader, and enjoyed watching classical movies. She loved her cat, which was affectionately called "Kat."

She is survived by her son, Eric Cartier of Johnston; three sisters, Suzanne Patras of Lincoln, Jeanne Poirier of Millville, and Jacqueline Olivo of Florida; her companion, Billy Riley of Cumberland; her uncle Roger; her aunt Muriel; as well as, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and great friends.

Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.
