Roger P. Labossiere

Roger P. Labossiere, 84, of Harrisville, died April 5, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Doris M. (Aubin) Labossiere, whom he married October 14, 1961. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Pierre and Georgianna (Desmarais) Labossiere.

Roger was an Air Force Veteran. He worked as a truck driver, owning his own company, R&D Leasing, and finishing his career with Coz Chemical, retiring in 2007. Roger enjoyed antiquing, cars, music, dancing, and sharing stories and jokes with eveyone he encountered. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Besides his wife, Doris, he leaves their children, Catherine Laplante and her husband, Marcel, of Griswold, CT, Christine Labossiere and her partner, Karen Dube, of Dudley, MA, Robert Labossiere and his wife, Michele, of Blackstone, MA, Marie Massoud and her husband, Edward, of Rehoboth, MA, and Helen LePage and her husband, Donald, of East Longmeadow, MA; his brother, Robert Labossiere and his wife, Toni, of Burrillville; his sister, Pauline Faubert of Port St. Lucie, FL; 12 grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan, Benjamin, Robert, Evan, Samantha, Jenna, Abigail, Camryn, Carson, Vanessa, and David; four great grandchildren, Isabella, JJ, Edith and Reagan; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Lorraine Mann and Jackie Guilmain.

His funeral will be held Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 10 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 63 Church St., Slatersville. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4:30-7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
