John R. Haney, Sr.

John R. Haney, Sr. 78, of Harrisville, died January 18, 2023 in his home. He was the husband of the late Joan (Keough) Haney, to whom he was married 58 years. Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Harold and Marie Haney.

John was worked as a salesman for Pioneer Heavy Duty Parts, and later for Fleet Heavy Duty Parts, retiring in 2009.

He leaves his daughter, Debra Diamond and her husband, Philip, with whom he lived; his son, Kevin Haney and his wife, Heather, of Thompson, CT; his sister, Jane Sauerbier of New Hampshire; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and his companion dog, Sweetie.

Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the CHA Foundation, C/o Continuum Hospice, 1412 W Magnolia Ave, Suite #100, Fort Worth, TX 76104.
