Pauline Rose Aridano (Cournoyer) beloved wife, mother, and grandmother was called to her eternal resting place on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 in North Smithfield RI. She was the loving wife of 62 years to Michael Aridano; daughter of the late Rene and Simone Cournoyer; sister to George (wife, Denise); devoted mother of David (wife, Susan), Robert (wife, Nikki), and Mark (wife, Joanne) and the late and greatly loved Anthony and Angela; dedicated memere of Nick (wife, Nicole), Casey (husband, Matthew), Alexis, Vincent, and Julie.
One word to describe Pauline is admirable. She spent 5 years teaching religious education to children and became CCD coordinator of St. Agatha's and OLQM parishes for 20 years. While raising her family, and perfecting her cooking and seamstressing skills, her and Michael devoted their lives to serving others in need. They received awards throughout the years including Northern RI, CYO, and St. Agatha's volunteers of the year. Paulines devotion to God made her the most incredible, faithful and loving person she was. Everyone loved being in her presence and will miss her deeply.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at 9AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Agatha's Parish, 34 Joffre Ave., Woonsocket, or can be viewed live at https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/7700004862. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Old River Rd., Manville. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4-7PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics RI (specialolympicsRI.org)
