Albert P. Lareau

Albert P. Lareau, 76, of Providence St., Woonsocket, died August 13, 2017 at Hope Hospice Palliative Care Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the husband of Muriel (Demers) Lareau whom he married April 28, 1962. Born in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of the late Leo and Antonia (Deragon) Lareau.

A 1959 graduate of Mt. St. Charles Academy and an Army Veteran, Mr. Lareau worked as a Machinist for Foxboro Co. for over twenty years. Albert was an overall handyman who enjoyed bowling, fishing, clamming and maintaining his yard. He loved his dogs, cherished and adored his wife, Muriel of fifty-five years and was extremely proud of all his childrens accomplishments.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Donald Lareau and his wife Nancy of Cumberland and Kevin Lareau and his wife Susan of Concord, NC; a daughter, Donna Chaput and her husband Bruce of Pascoag; seven grandchildren and one great grandson. He was the brother of the late Louis Lareau.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 10:30 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Rd., Cumberland. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 - 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Providence, 45 Gay St., Providence, RI 02905.
