Angie DiSpirito, 94, a lifelong resident of Woonsocket, died June 11, 2017 in the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the daughter of the late Emilio DiSpirito, Sr. and Laura DUrgolo) DiSpirito.
Angie was a successful and determined businesswoman. She owned and operated DiSpiritos Market for almost fifty years, beginning in 1961 and retiring in 2009. She was a communicant of St. Anthonys Church.
Throughout her life, Angie exhibited extraordinary devotion to her family. She leaves her sister, Clara Belheumer of Slatersville, and several nephews and nieces, including Emile Belhumeur of Cumberland, Linda Bagley and her husband Eli Dweck of Bala cynwyd, Pennsylvania, Emilio DiSpirito III and his wife Pauline of Bellingham, Massachusetts, Mary DiSpirito of Lincoln, Hylda Zommer of Burrillville, Laura Laprade of Burrillville, Christopher DiSpirito and his wife MaryAnn of Lincoln, Emma St. Germain and her husband Donald of Burrillville, John DiSpirito and his wife Kelly of Pawtucket, Peter DiSpirito and his wife Jacqueline of North Smithfield, Christine Cote and her husband Dave of North Smithfield, Frances DiSpirito of Woonsocket, James DiSpirito and his wife of Cynthia of North Carolina, Jane Finch of California, Nancy Healey of Cumberland as well as several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Emilio DiSpirito, Jr, two sisters, Antonetta Toni Bagley and Rosa DiSpirito, and niece Karen Courtemanche.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 8:30 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthonys Church, 128 Greene Street, Woonsocket. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Friday from 5-8 PM.
