Cecile C. Lawrence

Cecile C. (Gravel) Lawrence, 87, of Woonsocket and formerly of Bellingham, passed away January 9, 2018 in The Friendly Home, Woonsocket. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Urbain and Merilda (Trinque) Gravel.

Cecile worked as a molder for the Hillcover Company of Plainville, MA, retiring in 1995. She was a very devout Catholic.

Cecile is survived by a sister, Theresa Cardin of Woonsocket and with whom she grew up with in St. Francis Orphanage in Woonsocket, numerous nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews. She was the sister of the late Albert, Gerard, Lionel and Marcel Gravel, and Rita Blodgett. She was Auntie to some, Ma Tante to others and Aunt Cil to most.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 2 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will be private at a later date in Precious Blood Cemetery, Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimers Association, 245 Waterman St. #306, Providence, RI 02906.
