A lifelong communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church, she taught fifth grade for thirty-five years at Woonsockets Bernon Heights Elementary School. She was a graduate of St. Charles Elementary School of Woonsocket, St. Xavier Academy of Providence, and Rhode Island College.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, James and Polly McDonald, of Narragansett, nieces Kathleen McDonald and her husband Lewis Greitzer of Vermont; Ann Murphy and her husband William of Narragansett; Margaret McDonald and her husband Jeffrey Wiatrowski of Newport, and her nephew, James McDonald and his wife Kathleen of Medfield, MA; five great nieces and nephews, and many friends.
