Diane Phyllis Laprade, 66, of Woonsocket died on Wednesday, August 22nd, 2018 at Landmark Medical Center surrounded by loved ones after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Raised in Manville, she was the daughter of Irene (Brunelle) and the late Paul Laprade.
Diane attended St. James Elementary School in Manville and graduated from Woonsocket High School in 1969 before embarking on an almost 50-year career with the CVS corporation. Most recently, Diane worked as a pharmacy technician at a CVS store surrounded by co-workers she loved who reached out and supported her in myriad ways throughout the duration of her illness.
Dianes favorite things included spending time with her family and friends, ice cream, watching her nephew play baseball, shopping at Kohls, and cheering on the New England Patriots.
Diane is survived by her mother, Irene Laprade, also of Woonsocket and her two sisters, Helene Gaskin and her husband, Ron, of Smithfield and Rachel Denoyelle and her husband, Steve, of Woonsocket. She also leaves her nieces Kerri, Sarah, and Katie, her nephew, Alex, and her nephews-in-law, Tim and Kevin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 9:30am from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at St. Josephs Church, 1200 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Old River Rd., Manville. Calling hours are Sunday from 3-5pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Dianes favorite charity, St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
