Donald G. Romano, Sr.

Donald G. Romano, Sr, 50, of Knight St., Woonsocket, died June 7, 2017 at home. He was the partner of Kenneth Staples for twenty-one years. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of Jacqueline (Gagnon) and Ed Oullette, Sr. of Woonsocket.

Donald was formerly employed by Lowes, Woonsocket.

Besides his partner Kenneth Staples, he is survived by a son, Donald Romano, Jr. and his wife Allison of Warwick; a daughter, Jocelyn Romano of Woonsocket; his former wife and close friend, Therese Switzer of Woonsocket; a granddaughter, Emma Grace Romano; and his siblings, Cindy Lerner of Queens, NY, Eric Romano of Woonsocket, Ed Oullette, Jr. of Woonsocket, Al Oullette of Harrisville, Amy Bachand of Smithfield Misty Richard of Woonsocket, and Tanya Ayotte of Woonsocket.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, June 12, 2017 at 10 AM in Slatersville Congregational Church, 25 Green St., Slatersville. Burial will follow in Cook Cemetery, 2035 Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Calling hours are Sunday from 3-6 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, payable to CVMA 9-2, 93 Provident Place, Coventry, RI 02816.
