Dora Volpini

Dora (Montanari) Volpini, 96, of Dartmouth, MA, formerly of Woonsocket, died Sunday, June 10, 2018 in Royal Taber Street Nursing and Rehab Center, New Bedford, MA. She was the wife of the late Enzo Volpini. Born in Depew, NY, she was the daughter of the late Guglielmo and Quinta (Andreoni) Montanari.

Mrs. Volpini worked as a meat wrapper for Stop Shop in Woonsocket and North Attleboro for twenty-five years, and had also worked as a home health aide for ten years. Dora was a communicant of St. Anthonys Church, Woonsocket. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She touched the hearts of everyone she met.

She is survived by a son, Leon Volpini and his wife Cheryl of West Greenwich; a daughter, Brenda A. Regan and her husband John of Dartmouth; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by three siblings, Nello Montanari, Elda Ciffo, and Minnie Paolini.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Anthonys Church, 128 Greene St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm St., Blackstone. Calling hours are Wednesday from 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boston Childrens Hospital, 401 Park Drive, Suite 602, Boston, MA 02115-5301.
