James Jimmy E. Kelly, 64, of Mohawk St., Bellingham, died May 30, 2018 in Blackstone. Born in Watertown, MA, he was the son of Dorothy (Gordon) Kelly of East Providence and the late Roy Kelly.
A U.S. Navy Veteran serving on the U.S.S. Seattle, Mr. Kelly worked as a Direct Care Provider for the Wrentham Developmental Center for over twenty years, retiring in 2004. He loved fishing, both saltwater and freshwater, gardening, birdwatching and watching his grandkids play.
His adventure continues through his two sons, Matthew Kelly and his wife Dana and Stephen Kelly, all of Millville; his brothers, Thomas Kelly of Raynham, MA and the late Robert Kelly; two sisters, Jo Ann Kelly of East Providence and Karen Kelly Hamilton of Wilmington, NC; four grandchildren, Kassidy, Ian and Zachary Kelly and Brayden Wilson; his lifelong friend, Suzanne (Cournoyer) Kelly of Blackstone; his partner-in-crime, Kathy (Champeau) Parenteau of Bellingham, as well as his extended adopted kids.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 8, 2018 from 47 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. The family requests those attending to dress in casual attire, jeans and tees. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
