John Richard Haney, Jr.

John Richard Haney, Jr., 53, of Woonsocket, died June 15, 2018 in Hope Hospice Palliative Care Center, Providence. He was the husband of Kerrie (Sarosi) Haney, whom he married August 17, 2002. Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of John Haney, Sr. and Joan (Keough) Haney of Woonsocket.

He worked in manufacturing for many years, and served in the U.S. Army Reserve. Above all, John loved spending time with his family.

Besides his parents, and his wife Kerrie, John is survived by five children, Brady, Blake,Kaitlynn, and Kayla Haney, all of Woonsocket, and Brett Sarosi of Webster, MA; a granddaughter, Eleanor Sarosi, a sister, Debbie Diamond, of Harrisville; a brother, Kevin Haney of Thompson, CT; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Johns life will be held Friday, June 22, 2018 at 6:30 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket. All are welcome. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
