Laurie A, Raposa, 43 of Alton Ave,passed away January 29, 2018peacefully after a long battle with cancerin Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. Born in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of Cheryl (Casalin) Perna of Cumberland.
Laurie worked for Autoparts International as a supervisor in accounts payable. Laurie enjoyed gardening and having cookouts.Above all, she was a great mother who cherished time spent with her son Nicholas. She was loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all.
Besides her mother Cheryl, she is survived by her son, Nicholas Raposa of Cumberland; two sisters, Lindsey Stevens and her husband Jesse of Glocester and Ashley Schofield and her husband Ryan of Cumberland; her aunt, Reney Mondoux and her husband Joseph of Glocester and her nieces and nephew, Arianna and Andrew Stevens and Abbey Schofield.
Her funeral will be held Friday, February 2, 2018 at 8:45 from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. John Vianney Church, 3609 Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Rd., Cumberland. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 7PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904.
