Michael Chudy Obituary

Michael C. Chudy, 84, of Mapleville, passed away August 5, 2019 in Hebert Health Rehabilitation, Smithfield. He was the husband of the late Shirley (Belanger) Chudy. Born in Cumberland, RI, he was the son of the late Samuel and Evelyn (Palmer) Chudy.

He worked as a machinist for many years. He loved western movies, and enjoyed coaching baseball. Michael also served in the Army National Guard.

He is survived by his children, Mark Chudy of Pascoag, Pamela Rousseau of Putnam, CT, and Laureen Goulin of Harrisville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as his sisters, Rose Larochelle, Irene Paquin, and Jane Rousseau.

His funeral will be held Friday, August 9, 2019 at 8:30 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Charles Church, 190 North Main St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery, Farm Street, Blackstone, MA. Calling hours are Thursday from 5 8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association, Inc. Parkinson Plaza, 135 Parkinson Ave., Staten Island, NY 10305.
