Nancy J. Girouard

Nancy J. (Laprade) Girouard, 75, of Mendon Rd., North Smithfield, died December 15, 2019 at St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Raymond Girouard. Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Doris (Firbush) Laprade.

Nancy worked for various local businesses throughout her career, but her most important focus was her family. She leaves behind a loving family, many caring friends, and also her special companion, her dog, Betsy.

She is survived by her four children, Linda Monfils and her husband Alfred of North Scituate, Daniel Palardy and his wife Debra of Cumberland, Joanne Buttie of Woonsocket, and Debra Riccitelli and her husband Richard of Coventry; her sister, Shirley Grayko of Pawtucket; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; her former husband and father of her four children, Richard Palardy of Riverside, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation, 249 Roosevelt Ave. Suite 201, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
