Raymond M. Parenteau

Raymond M. Parenteau, 87, of Woonsocket, died Friday, October 6, 2017 in The Friendly Home. He was the husband of the late Muriel A. (Tellier) Parenteau. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Phillip and Maria (Parent) Parenteau.

Mr. Parenteau worked in construction for several area companies. He was a member of the Italian Working Mens Club.

He is survived by two sons, Mark Parenteau of Blackstone, MA and James Parenteau of Millville; two daughters, Lorraine Roy of Blackstone and Jeanne Papski of North Smithfield; two sisters, Florence Auclair and Aline Rondeau, both of Woonsocket; thirteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Raymond Jr., John, and Michael Parenteau, and was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 20, 2017 at 10 AM in Holy Family Church, 414 South Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 314 Wrentham Road, Bellingham, MA. Calling hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mental Health Association of Rhode Island at 345 Blackstone Boulevard, Providence, RI 02906.
