Roger Peloquin Sr. Obituary
Roger J Peloquin Sr., 90, of Woonsocket, died July 25, 2018 in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of the late Theresa (Manigan) Peloquin, who passed away in 2012. Born in Manville, RI, he was the son of the late Napoleon Peloquin and Alpheda (Pelletier) and stepfather George Goulet.
Roger served in the United States Navy during WWII, then he worked as a machinist for Atlas Cable for thirty-six years. After retirement he was employed by Stop Shop for over fifteen years. Roger was an avid New England sports fan, and had enjoyed playing softball with the Woonsocket Senior Softball League.
He is survived by two sons, Roger J. Peloquin, Jr. of Pawtucket, and Mark J. Peloquin and Michelle Hudson of Warwick; a daughter, Donna Lussier and her husband Andrew of Woonsocket; six grandchildren, Christian Peloquin and his wife Kristine, Scott Peloquin, Steven Peloquin and his wife Sari, Bethany Weinstein and her husband Jon, Erika Monahan and her husband Marc, and Stacey Peloquin; two great-grandchildren, Juliana Quadros and Calum Monahan; as well as several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held Monday, July 30, 2018 at 9 AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Josephs Church, 1200 Mendon Road, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm Street, Blackstone, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Antoine Residence Activities Fund, 10 Rhodes Ave., North Smithfield, RI 02896.
