Russell P. Marquis

Russell P. Marquis, 92, of Farm Street, Woonsocket, died May 16, 2018 at home. He was the husband of the late Catherine T. (Carney) Marquis. Born in Whitinsville, MA, he was the son of the late Victor and Loretta (Bailey) Marquis.

He worked as a Foreman for Puritan Aerosol in Cumberland for many years, and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Russell was an avid fan of horse racing, the Boston Red Sox, and above all, he loved to spend time with his family.

Mr. Marquis is survived by his four daughters, Lora Rayos and her husband Jose of Blackstone, MA, Susanne Renaud and her husband Ronald of Largo, FL, Donna Richard and her husband Raymond of Fort Mill, SC, and Linda Laroche and her husband David of Largo, FL. He adored his seven grandchildren, Becky Cote and her husband Timothy, Ronnie Renaud, David Laroche and his wife Alison, Catherine Laroche, Jose Rayos and his wife Nicole, Andrew Rayos, and the late Melissa Rayos; as well as his six great-grandchildren, Deven, Ethan, Kason, Haddie, Emma, and the late Tegan. He was the brother of the late Wallace Marquis, Barbara Myette, and Dorothy Laperle.

His funeral will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018 beginning with visitation at 8:30 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in the Holy Family Church, 414 South Main St. Woonsocket. Burial will be private.
