Alan Parenteau Obituary

Alan G. Parenteau, (Pep Al Man) 60 of Millville, passed holding hands with his children at Brigham and Women's Hospital Boston. Born February 16th, 1965 in Woonsocket, He was the son of the late Paul A. Parenteau Sr. and Shirley (Lataille) Parenteau.

Alan was a Union Carpenter/Supervisor for Locals 67 and 275. He loved to build and took great pride in his work, and projects big and small. If you were in the car with him he made sure to point out and share stories about the builds he worked on and the guys on the job with him. His work at Boston Children's Hospital always held a special place in his heart and Fenway Park where his initials remain hidden.

Alan was a child at heart. He was excitable, still full of wonder, curiosity, and imagination. He loved to play with and teach his children and grandkids. He had a creative mind and could make anything from scrap wood and cool things he found lying around. He was passionate, felt deeply, and had a huge heart! Music was a part of his soul. You could always tell he was close when you heard that 60's and 70's classic rock blasting out of his truck windows. He was an amazing cook and his dynamites were THE BEST! Alan was an avid fisherman and loved nature. Always quick to spot any wildlife and show off his bird-calling skills. He especially loved family trips to N.H. cruising up the Kancamagus searching for moose.

Alan lives on in the hearts of his children Jason Parenteau Sr. of Hopedale, Jessica Parenteau, and her husband Donny Delorme Jr of Bellingham. His pride and joy 3 grandchildren Donny III, Dezarae, and Jason Jr; His siblings Paulette Voisinet of Manville, Paul Parenteau Jr. of Millville, Pauline Chevalier of Woonsocket, Sheila Parenteau of Yarmouth Port, and Karen Richer of Cumberland; His half brother Ray Parenteau of South Carolina; and his former spouse and best friend Kathy (Champeau) Parenteau.
