Altina M. (Moniz) Medeiros

Altina M. (Moniz) Medeiros, 98, of Woonsocket, died May 30, 2025 in St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Fernando L. Medeiros. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Lauriano and Maria (Tavares) De Sousa Moniz.

Altina worked as a stitcher. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidering, and loved her family.

She is survived by her children, Godiva Laliberte and her husband Normand of New Ipswich, NH, Paul Medeiros and his wife Diane of Swanzey, NH, Jose Medeiros and his wife Sandy of Rohnert Park, CA, and Fernando Medeiros and his wife Cidalia of Fall River; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Paulina Maria Medeiros, and her siblings, Manuel and Arthur De Sousa, Jose Moniz, Maria Policarpo and Godiva Medeiros.

Her visitation will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 5-7PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to In-Sight, 43 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick, RI 02888
