Andre Morelle

Andre (Fugere) Morelle, 87, of Woonsocket, formerly of Meadow Rd., passed away August 17, 2018 in Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Pierre J. Morelle, who passed away twenty-three years ago, to the date. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Angelina (Lamothe) Fugere.

She worked as a teachers aide for over thirty-seven years for the Woonsocket school system. She enjoyed cooking, and loved children. Through her years of teaching, she was a devoted mother to not just her own children, but all children of the community.

She is survived by two sons, Charles Morelle and his wife Marika of Fairhaven, MA, and Christopher Morelle and his wife Elizabeth of Cape Coral, FL; one daughter, Annique Beauchamp and her husband Christopher of Woonsocket; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; as well as two sisters-in-law, Joan and Gloria Morelle. She was the mother of the late Lise Morin, Robert Morelle, and Stephen Morelle, and the sister of the late Jules Fugere.

Her funeral will be held Friday, August 24, 2018 in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket, beginning with visitation from 10 - 11 AM, with a memorial service at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Governor Aram J. Pothier School, 420 Robinson St. Woonsocket, RI 02895.
