Ann Jacobs Obituary

Ann R. Jacobs, 81, of Blackstone passed peacefully on May 26, 2024 surrounded by family and friends. Born in Waltham, MA to Clyde Caswell and Rachel (Guthrie) she was raised on a dairy farm in Blackstone, MA. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother David Caswell. She is survived by her sisters, Jane and Jeannie, and brothers Johnny, Phil, and Neil. She leaves her daughters Mary and Patricia, and sons Michael, Thomas, and Christopher, as well as 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.


Shortly after graduating from Blackstone High, she met and married Charles Jacobs, with whom she raised 5 children. With the family complete, Ann pursued her goal of becoming a Registered Nurse, graduating from CCRI in 1976. She then worked 35 years at Landmark Medical Center (formerly Woonsocket Hospital).


Ann's interests included cooking, musical theater, books, and would be found anywhere from East Longmeadow, MA to Pocatello, ID to spend time with any one of 13 grandchildren. Ann also loved spending winters in Daytona Beach with a tight-knit group of friends, participating in beach/pool time, karaoke, card playing, trivia, and dinner parties.
