Arlene M. (Rivard) Sarnosky, 90, of Woonsocket, RI, died Friday, September 17, 2021 in The Friendly Home, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Edmund Sarnosky. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Anna (Clare) Rivard.
Arlene received her Nursing Degree from Pawtucket Memorial and then worked as a Registered Nurse for The Friendly Home, Woonsocket. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Church, Woonsocket. Arlene was a member of the Sacred Heart Choir, Trinity Club, Nurses Alumni at Pawtucket Memorial as well as a former Girl Scout Leader.
She is survived by children, Catherine Heath and her husband, Steven, of Woonsocket, Tina Belba and her husband, Michael, of Coconut Creek, FL, Marylen Weiselquist and her husband, Vincent, of Woonsocket, Michael Sarnosky of Deering, NH; her sister, Clare Smith of North Smithfield; six grandchildren, Andrew and Alexander Heath, Haley and John Belba, Elaine Stewart, and Lauren Quimby; and five great-grandchildren, Olivia, Oliver, Indie, Ella and Owen.
Her funeral will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021 starting with a visitation at 9AM from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main Street, Woonsocket, RI 02895, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in Holy Trinity Parish, 1405 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm St., Blackstone, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Friendly Home - Activities Fund, 303 Rhodes Ave., Woonsocket, RI 02895.
