Armand J. St. Pierre, 88, of Manville, died May 6, 2024 in The Holiday Retirement Home. He was the husband of Florence (Poisson) St. Pierre, to whom he was married 66 years. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Louis and Irene (Beauchemin) St. Pierre.
Mr. St. Pierre worked as an auto body repairman, and also for The Mansion Nursing Home, Central Falls. He was a proud military veteran, serving in the Air Force, and later served 25 years in the Army National Guard. Armand enjoyed woodworking, going for coffee with his brother-in-law Richard, and traveling with his wife. He was a hardworking and dedicated family man.
Besides his wife, Florence, he leaves their children, Roland St. Pierre of Lincoln, Diane Fontaine and her husband, Roger, of North Smithfield, and Joanne Phaneuf and her husband, Dennis, of Woonsocket; seven grandchildren, Brian and his wife, Jessica, Bruce, Glen, Laura, Kristen, Arielle and Ross; and two great grandchildren, Eva and Joseph. He was predeceased by his sisters, Claire Geter and Lorraine Mariano.
His funeral will be held Monday, May 13, 2024 beginning with visitation at 9:30 AM in St. James Church, 33 Division St., Manville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
