Barbara M. (Cook) Bedard, 87, of Manville, passed away October 23, 2024 in The Holiday Retirement Skilled Nursing. She was the wife of the late Emile A. Bedard. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Marion (Swanson) Cook.
Barbara worked as an assembler for Miller Electric and for Bruce Diamond Manufacturing. She enjoyed volunteering at The Holiday, the coffee shop, and the hairdressers. Barbara also liked crafting in her spare time.
She is survived by her son, Daniel Bedard, and his wife Lisa, of Manville; her daughter, Debra Keough, and her husband Frank, of North Smithfield; her brother, William Cook, of Burrillville; three grandchildren, Jason Keough and his wife Jessica, Ryan Keough, and LeeAnna Link and her husband John; and five great grandchildren, Thomas Fraioli, III, Reilly, Francis and Patrick Keough, and Benjamin Link.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 10 AM in St. James Church, 33 Division St, Manville. Burial to follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 310 Wrentham Rd, Bellingham, MA. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 S. Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
