Barbara Hunt Obituary

Barbara M. Hunt, 96, of Uxbridge, died May 8, 2025 in Milford Regional Hospital. She was the wife of Raymond Chaharyn. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Rena (Mailhot) Foster.

Barbara worked as a registered nurse for Landmark medical center. She loved attending musicals, and would be found doing housework on Saturday mornings, listening to the soundtracks of many of them with her children. Barbara loved to cook and made her spaghetti sauce from scratch using her father's recipe, as well as baking for friends and family during the holidays. Everyone's favorite was her special fudge. She loved to tend to her beautiful rose garden when she lived in Blackstone, and enjoyed spending time in Newport and Galilee, often in the company of her sister Phyllis. Barbara also amassed an extensive collection of Hummels, and enjoyed knitting and reading in her spare time. Most of all she loved to see her little ones, her great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol Lariviere and her husband William of Pascoag, Janet Deguire of Uxbridge, and Susan Robert of Westminster, SC; her four grandchildren, Phillip, Joe, Audrey and Eric; and six great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Ryan, Harper, Layla, Rachel and Brighton. She was the sister of the late Phyllis Crease and George Foster
