Barbara F. (MacDonald) Notarangelo

Barbara F. (MacDonald) Notarangelo, 83, of Woonsocket, passed away May 4, 2025 at home. She was the wife of the late John Notarangelo. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Murdock A. and Rita F. (Lacroix) MacDonald.

Mrs. Notarangelo worked in the Child Find Program for the Woonsocket School Dept., and for the VNS of Greater Woonsocket/Rhode Island. She was very active in the community, and volunteered for several local organizations including St. Charles Church, Visiting Nurses, Stadium Theatre, and Aging Well. Barbara was very artistic, loved watching NCIS, spending time at her summer home in Scarborough, and she would always open her home and lend help or care to anyone in need.

She is survived by her children, John M. Notarangelo of Woonsocket, and Lori Sevigny of Massachusetts; two sisters, Donna MacDonald and her husband, Robert, of Woonsocket, and Carol Bourque of Woonsocket; and her granddaughter, Viola Notarangelo of Woonsocket.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2025 beginning with visitation from 9 - 10:15AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Charles Church, 8 Daniels St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farm St., Blackstone, MA.
