Beth Richmond Obituary

Beth Elaine Richmond, 62, of Warwick, Rhode Island, passed away in Providence on June 29, 2026. Known for her vivacious personality, radiant smile, deep kindness, and remarkable resilience, Beth brought warmth, encouragement, and joy to the lives of those around her. Her positive spirit and genuine care for others made an enduring impression on nearly everyone she met.

Beth was the daughter of the late Lloyd A. Richmond and Janice E. Richmond and the stepdaughter of Cynthia Horan Richmond. She is survived by her beloved son, Nicholas John Richmond; her siblings, Wade Richmond and Leslie Richmond; her nieces, Lindsey DeBlois, Meaghan Menard, and Samantha Bacon; great-nieces Laila Smith, Aubrey DeBlois, and Madison Menard, and great-nephew Callum DeBlois – all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Beth earned an associate degree from the Community College of Rhode Island, as well as a secretarial and paralegal certificate. She built a career as a legal assistant to staff Counsel, working for several law firms and, most recently, for GEICO Insurance. Her professional life reflected the same diligence, loyalty, and care that she brought to her personal relationships.

Faith and music were central to Beth’s life. She was a beloved music minister at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Cumberland and formerly served as co-director of the children’s choir at Christ Episcopal Church. She was also a founding member of the Christian choral group “New Fire” and was honored by her church with its Woman of Valor Award. Through song, worship, and service, Beth shared her faith generously and helped create a sense of belonging for others.

Outside of work and church, Beth found happiness in spending time with family, gardening, cooking, singing, and enjoying music. She was also a devoted pet mom whose dogs, Gus and Grace, were deeply loved members of her family. Beth will be remembered not only for the many roles she filled, but for the way she made people feel ... welcomed, cared for, encouraged, and loved.

All arrangements will take place at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 120 Nate Whipple Highway, Cumberland, Rhode Island, on Saturday, 07/11/2026.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. in the Memorial Garden, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the church. A collation will immediately follow the funeral service in the church’s Fellowship Hall. Cremation will take place in accordance with Beth’s wishes.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Beth’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation, the American Diabetes Association, or Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Cumberland.

Beth’s life was marked by faith, music, compassion, and a steadfast love for family and friends. Her voice, her laughter, and her generous spirit will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
