Beverly A. (Downing) Brown

Beverly A. (Downing) Brown, 84, of Lincoln, died February 10, 2025 in Trinity Nursing and Rehab. Born in (Manhattan), she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Sullivan) Downing.

Beverly was a graduate of Bay View Academy. She worked for Rhode Island Hospital and the Spurwink School as a secretary, and had previously worked for Cherry & Webb in the Lincoln Mall, and Ann & Hope, Cumberland.

She leaves her sons, William Brown and his wife, Lisa, of Pawtucket, Kevin Brown and his wife, Christine, of Johnston, Christopher Barker and his wife, Sharon Clark, of Warwick, and Michael Barker of Lincoln; five grandchildren, Bethany Brown of HI, Billy Brown of RI, Amanda DeZago of MA, Forrest Brown of RI and Jordan Clark of RI; four great grandchildren; her brother-in-law, Robert Brown of Lincoln; and two nephews, Scott and Timmy Brown. She was predeceased by her sister, Marilyn Brown.

Private arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 So. Main St. Woonsocket. In honor of Beverly's love for her pets, memorial contributions may be made to the RI SPCA, 155 Plan Way, Warwick, RI 02886.
