Byron Cameron Obituary

Byron "Jimmy" J. Cameron, 80, of Woonsocket, passed away September 3, 2024 in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of fifty-four years of the late Jean (Bell) Cameron. Born in Putnam, CT he was the son of the late Byron and Nina (Burgess) Cameron.

Mr. Cameron was a Vietnam Army Veteran and worked as a fork lift operator for Foster Grant/FGX in Lincoln, retiring in 2011, and had previously worked for CD Burns Co. He was a member of the American Legion, was a manager for the Bernon Little League from 1976 - 1988, and enjoyed bowling and watching wrestling.

He is survived by his children, John Cameron and his wife, Ana, of North Smithfield, and Jane Rochefort and her husband, Richard, Jr., of Woonsocket; two sisters, Barbara Bourque of Danielson, CT, and Betty Duro of Vernguay, CA; two grandchildren, Lauren Flinton and her husband, Dean, of Temple, NH, and Tara Rochefort and her fiancée, Matthew Homand, of Woonsocket; as well as, several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Franklin Cameron.
