Carol A. (Zacchilli) Gagnon

Carol A. (Zacchilli) Gagnon, 82, of North Smithfield, passed away May 17, 2025 in the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Robert Gagnon, Sr. whom she married January 19, 1963. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Primo "Tony" and Sophie (Popek) Zacchilli.

Mrs. Gagnon began working as a hairdresser, and then worked as a waitress for the Village Haven for over thirty years. Carol's biggest hobby was maintaining her home and loved to do DIY home projects. Recently, she began attending church and enjoyed dinners with her friends. She was involved with the North Smithfield Centennial Parade and party.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Gagnon of North Smithfield; two sisters, Mary Brundage of Uxbridge, and Angie Keeler of Florida; and three grandchildren, Travis Dumais of Lincoln, Nicole Dumais of Burrillville, and Robert Sampson of Florida. She was the mother of the late Robert Gagnon, Jr.; and sister of the late Helen Zacchilli and Roseann Picard.

A funeral service will be held Friday, May 30, 2025 at 11 AM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, 63 Church St., Slatersville. Calling hours are Thursday from 4:30 - 7 PM.
